I dislike showing off, pride, meaningless arguments, gossiping and so on. As a wife, I intend to support my husband emotionally, respect his dreams/ambitions and create a warm, loving and nurturing home environment, all for the sake of earning ultimate reward from Allah. And He put love and mercy between you.” (Surah Ar-Rum 30:21) Marriage is a gift from Allah. It brings barakah and divine love into our lives. Through marriage, we feel the love and comfort that Allah has promised. We can protect our modesty, avoid fitnah, find a best friend & get support. It is also a way to earn Allah’s pleasure by serving and caring for one another and the family. Even small acts like cooking for spouse or raising child can bring great reward. I don't wanna deprive myself of these rewards. I also want to follow the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and complete half of my deen. It is about two people helping each other in prayers, gaining beneficial knowledge and trust in Allah. I don’t see it as just a part of this life rather I see it as a journey toward Jannah. Another reason would be for having righteous children who love Allah, follow the Prophet (SAW), serve the ummah and become a source of sadaqah jariyah. Sometimes, I feel sad when I think about dying without marriage. It makes me feel like no one will be there to make dua for me. That’s one main reason I would love to have kids so that they can make Dua, give Sadaqah on my behalf and carry Islamic values, so InShaAllah I may continue to receive rewards even after death.
