Delete your SM account

This page explains how to delete your SM (Sunnah Matrimony) account and associated data across the SM mobile apps (Google Play and Apple App Store) and the official SM website. One account works everywhere — deleting it removes it everywhere.

Option 1 — In the app or website (fastest, no waiting)

1. Log in to the SM app or website.
2. Open Profile > Settings.
3. Go to the Delete account section, enter your current password, type DELETE to confirm, and submit.
4. Your account is deleted immediately and you are logged out.

Option 2 — Request by email (no login required)

If you cannot log in, email [email protected] with subject “Delete my SM account” and include: your full name, the phone number or email address registered on the account, and (if known) your biodata number. You can also send the same details through the in-app / website contact form.

We verify that you own the account (through your registered phone or email), then delete it within 30 days — usually within 7 days — and confirm back by email.

What is deleted

• Account profile (name, gender, date of birth, phone, email, password).
• Your biodata and all its sections, photos, and guardian contact details.
• Connects and unlock history display, favorites and ignore lists, reports you filed, blocks, sessions and notification records.

What may be retained

Anonymized or legally required records only (for example purchase fraud or accounting records where the law requires it), kept no longer than necessary and then deleted or anonymized. We never keep your biodata, photos, or guardian contact details after deletion.
