Must know how to recite the Quran properly with Saheeh Tajweed and Makhraj. Should be open to reciting the Quran and reading tafseers with me on a regular basis. 3. Must have a good sunnati beard (at least to the length of a handful). 4. Must have sound Aqeedah and Manhaj. Should be a sunni muslim. I'm not willing to marry someone who's a Shia or Mu'tazilah. 5. Must not be an arrogant guy. My husband must treat me with love, respect, and humility. 6. Must not celebrate the festivals of the Mushrikeen - i.e, birthdays, Christmas, Halloween, New Year etc. - that aren't part of Islam. 7. Must wear his pants/trousers above the ankle. 8. Spouse's income source has to be 100% halal. Should not be a part of any profession that's associated with riba. 9. Must have the mentality to take care of me when I'm sick and also help me around with the house chores and cooking whenever possible. 10. Shouldn't be bad-tempered or have anger issues. 11. Must have the mentality to pray Tahajjud prayer together whenever convenient. 12. Must be non-alcoholic and non-smoker. No compromise on this. 13. Should not have any physical or mental disabilities/disorders. Should be perfectly healthy and sound. 14. Should be okay with buying/gifting me books every now and then since I love reading in my leisure time.
